Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, Sharon brings extensive expertise to msl’s Asian business services, in particular in the areas of corporate law and property. Sharon has a strong background primarily in property and commercial, and is also experienced in banking, finance and intellectual property. She has represented and advised large corporate clients in many aspects of large scale property including sales and acquisitions, leasing, subdivision and residential development. Sharon can also advise clients on investments in relation to stamp duty implications and asset protection strategies.
Moreover, Sharon's tri-lingual capabilities greatly benefit clients with an Asian background or who are looking to do business in Asia. Clients now have access to an experienced special counsel who understands the Chinese culture and language, and will provide them strong legal solutions. With a first-hand knowledge of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia, as well as her professional background and contacts in Asia, Sharon is perfectly suited to head up msl’s Asian Business services. This emerging market can be difficult to break into without the right contacts and local knowledge. As a result, Sharon can successfully facilitate business deals for clients doing, or looking to do, business in Asia, particularly China; as well as the reverse, i.e., Asian residents looking to enter into business or property acquisitions in Australia.
