Laurie is a banking and finance mortgage industry practitioner, who has technical expertise and ‘hands on’ practical experience in processing of mortgage documentation on a large scale, for a wide range of lenders including Adelaide Bank, AIMS, AFIG, BankWest, Challenger, Firstmac, Homeside Lending, ING Direct, Macquarie, Mecu Limited, Origin, Mobius, and private lenders.
Her role managing the retail lending team has included identifying and advising on issues relating to loan structure and commercial risk to obtain the best result for the client and their customer. In addition, Laurie ensures the firm’s compliance under each lender’s service level agreement, maintains audits of all precedents and procedures to accord with each client’s specific documents and requirements.
Laurie is fully versed in the Consumer Credit Code, investment and housing loan securities, commercial loan securities, mortgagee consents, conveyancing, stamp duties and general title issues. She has extensive experience in A-Z of residential mortgage and securities transactions, including advances, variations, consents, discharges and recoveries.
Recently, Laurie has gained expertise in the consumer reform arena–national consumer credit, unjust consumer transactions under the Trade Practices Act, and personal properties securities reform.
In addition, over the years Laurie has presented at numerous lender and broker group training days, focusing on business law for mortgage lending and providing valuable legal and industry practice information.

Laurie's weekend interests include playing and coaching the local netball team, reading a good novel when time permits, cooking Hungarian desserts and hopefully soon will have a keen interest in renovating her home.
